Housing Advocates Training PLUS (HAT+) has been scheduled for July 28, August 4, and August 11. This virtual training will be held from 2-4 PM on each of those Wednesdays.
You must have attended the original Housing Advocates Training within the past three years to attend HAT+. If you are unsure of your attendance date, please email Kristen at email@example.com.
Housing Advocates Training PLUS (HAT+) is a deeper dive into practical fair housing and landlord/tenant advocacy, as well as current and historical housing policy issues that impact the people we serve. HAT+ attendees will work through realistic advocacy scenarios, hear from local, state, and federal housing experts, and have the opportunity to “troubleshoot” real-world client and agency challenges. Trainers may include representatives from the Fair Housing Center of Southeast & Mid Michigan, Legal Services of South Central Michigan, Michigan Poverty Law Program, University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, and the Washtenaw Housing Alliance.
